ILEARN

Overview, Participation, and Scheduling

Indiana Learning Evaluation Cess Readiness Network (ILEARN) is the summative accountability assessment for Indiana students in grades 3 through eight and high school biological science. ILEARN measures educatee achievement and growth co-ordinate to Indiana Academic Standards for English language/Linguistic communication Arts (grades iii through 8), Mathematics (grades 3 through viii), Scientific discipline (grades 4 and half-dozen), and Social Studies (course 5).

Students are required to participate in the ILEARN Biology End-of-Form Assessment (ECA) upon completion of the loftier school biology course to fulfill a federal participation requirement. The ILEARN U.S. Government ECA is available per state legislation as an optional assessment for students upon completion of the high school U.S. Authorities course. A student may but take one test attempt for whatsoever given ILEARN assessment. There are no retest opportunities available for ILEARN assessments.

Test Blueprint

Each online ILEARN cess consists of a computer-adaptive test segment and a functioning task, and fixed-grade test segments for social studies and U.Due south. Government. Fixed-form tests are not adaptive and available merely every bit an accommodation for students with formal accommodations.

Sample Items, Scoring, and Reporting

In accordance with Indiana Lawmaking, IDOE releases x items from each grade-level ILEARN assessment every yr.
